Just like in the old days when the all-female singing group became an icon, there has been hyped-up publicity and anticipation accompanying the news. However, the report that the Spice Girls' reunion tour is happening without Posh has been dismissed as rumor.

Queried if they would like to see a Spice Girls reunion tour in 2016, the answer on Instagram was a resounding yes. Spice Girls followers from various countries could not contain their excitement. Some fans tweeted they will wait patiently and shell out money for it, but that "the Spice Girls can't be the Spice Girls without Victoria."

Mel B had expressed the possibility of a reunion and has discussed plans for a world tour in 2016 with Geri Halliwell, Mel C and Emma Bunton; Posh may not join owing to a very busy schedule; The Sun reported.

The Spice Girls, whose chart-topping hits during the 90s continue to be enjoyed even by younger generations, had the opportunity to get together during the recent 40th birthday bash for David Beckham. They also performed during the London Olympics in 2012.

In other news, Posh recently revealed in an interview that Spice Girls almost went for the name The Spicy Girls but ditched it after learning about a porn site that went by that name, Page Six reported.

Recently, Posh tweeted a throwback photograph of a Spice Girls album with the caption that she loves her group. To date, it is not 'all systems go' yet for the Spice Girls reunion tour, since the families and careers of the individual members have to be considered.
