Josh Trank's concept will be part of the core ideas in the upcoming "Fantastic Four" sequel.

Sources told Hitfix that despite the negative feedback for Trank's "Fantastic Four," the film's sequel is still going to materialize. It is going to be a challenge to whoever will take the director's seat and helm the upcoming sequel of the superhero film, as the new director's ideas have to be integrated to Trank's ideas.

While the "Fantastic Four" sequel sticks to Trank's ideas, there are possible story arcs that the new director may use and integrate to the film sequel, as per Cinema Blend.

The new filmmaker can utilize sequences cut from Trank's "Fantastic Four," such as Reed Richard's iconic Fantasti-car, which can be of great help to the titular superhero team when they perform their duties. In addition, Richard's existing relationship with Sue Storm in Trank's film can also be a new angle for character development in the "Fantastic Four" sequel.

New villains can also be included in the "Fantastic Four" sequel, such as Silver Surfer and Namor the Sub-Mariner, who can follow Doctor Doom's existence. The aforementioned anti-heroes were suggested by Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan in their previous film promotion interview.

Aside from Bell and Jordan, "Fantastic Four" stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, and Toby Kebbell, among others. Directed by Trank, "Fantastic Four" centers on the heroes' exploration of inter-dimensional travel, which eventually gave them powers that they need to control.

Trank's "Fantastic Four" is showing in theaters while the sequel is set to premiere in theaters on June 9, 2017.
