It took six seasons but eventually the biggest mystery of ABC Family's show "Pretty Little Liars" was revealed on Aug. 11, Tuesday.


The best part was how "Pretty Little Liars" performed among viewers and the major demonstration over the season 5 Summer Finale in August 2014 - and it was fantastic, Deadline reported.

With a sum of 3.1 million viewers and 1.8 million among grownups 18-49, the Tuesday night "Pretty Little Liars" was the highest-ranking show in the entire cable with a 1.4 rating. The 8 o'clock show was as well 35 percent higher in viewership and 38 percent higher in demo than the Aug. 26, 2014 show.

The change in viewership came off an all-time season premiere low on June 2, which is great and 30.3 percent higher than the Season 6 opener. Of critical significance for "Pretty Little Liars" and ABC Family is that Tuesday night's viewers was an 18-month increase for the show and the 18-34 demo and 18-49 demo was an almost two-year high.

The Tuesday "Game Over Charles" episode had 1,585,973 tweets, and the social media savvy show scored attained a fourth most tweeted scripted series in the history of cable TV. It is notable that "PLL" makes up the top six most tweeted scripted shows in the history of cable TV with the "Now You See Me, Now You Don't" episode of Aug. 27, 2013 among the highest with 1,892,028 tweets.

Meanwhile, Marlene King - creator of the sequel - talked to The Hollywood Reporter concerning "PLL's" final huge mystery, given that the plot about "A" had ended. In the season 6 Summer Finale, the Liars noticed that "A" is a transgender woman, Charlotte (Vanessa Ray), who was Charles DiLaurentis when born. She changed her identity to CeCe Drake after meeting Ali's (Sasha Pieterse) friends.

In the summer finale episode, Sara Harvey (Dre Davis) unveiled to be Charlotte's accomplice ended up in a hospital and Charlotte herself almost committed suicide before turning herself to the authorities.
