While the restyled 2016 Lexus 570 made significant alterations to the vehicles aesthetics when the vehicle rolled out at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, it went beyond providing on-road comfort.

Thanks to its signature 5.7-liter V8 engine, the vehicle packs 383 horsepower, providing it with a 7,000-pound towing capacity. That means the luxury vehicle will drive through a dirt road with ease similar to when it zooms through well-maintained city roads while bearing a load, reports Craveonline.

It helps that the vehicle now has eight-speed automatic transmission from the old six-speed. Complementing the revved up engine are new 20-inch split 10-spoke wheels. Larger 21-inch 10-spoke wheels are also available.

Lexus said it kept the model's door panel of the 2015 edition, but the front end now sports a more aggressive version of the Lexus signature grill. Other improvements are the satin chrome trim and new standard LED headlights, turn signals and fog lights.

The motorist has four options for driving modes. Selecting ECO provides fuel-efficient driving, COMFORT  assures the smoothest rides possible, while SPORTS S and SPORTS S+ are for defter handling and more rugged suspension.

In terms of safety, the 2016 Lexus LX 570 has 10 standard airbags, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Intelligent High Beam and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Cruise Control tracks the speed of cars in front and helps the driver adjust speed to keep a preset distance.

Other vital information such as speed, warning and navigation are provided by the Heads-Up Display which is part of the unit's Blind Spot Monitor. The other component of the Monitor is the Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Cheat Sheet notes that the 2016 edition of Lexus is the largest makeover for the SUV to updates some outdated technology and keep the vehicle competitive within its class. The luxury SUV is priced at $90,000.
