The D23 Expo has given fans the first look of Benedict Cumberbatch in Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange."

According to Cinema Blend, Doctor Strange's costume will be in blue and red, which will be darker than his depiction in the comics. Also, Cumberbatch will be sporting a beard in Derrickson's film, which makes him look closer to Marvel's iconic sorcerer.

Meanwhile, Cumberbatch was absent at the Expo, since he was filming "Hamlet" in London, as per Variety. However, the actor sent a video message, saying that the film will feature "girls, cars, explosions, a bit of astral projection." The actor added that Doctor Strange is no ordinary character who transports fans to other dimensions in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

Previously, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said at Disney's press conference that Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" will see the sights of the ethereal realm of supernatural beings. As it its linked with quantum realm, just like in Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man," "Doctor Strange" is set to showcase a blend of sorcery and adventure.

With its visual effects parallel to Disney's "Fantasia," "Doctor Strange" serves one of Marvel's bullet films in its Phase Three, along with "Black Panther," "Deadpool," and "Gambit." It follows Doctor Stephen Strange as one of the world's best neurosurgeons, as he loses his hand's abilities after a terrible car accident.

"Doctor Strange" stars Cumberbatch as the titular superhero, Rachel McAdams as Clea, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One.

Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is set to premiere on Nov. 4, 2016. Watch Marvel's D23 Expo Footage here:
