Samsung phablets have upped the ante once again with the recent release of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. These two units are the latest Samsung flagship of its Galaxy series and will be directly competing with Apple's iPhone 6s Plus, which is slated for a release later this year.
Starting off with the display, the latest Samsung phablets screen is measured at 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED, with a 2560x1440 resolution that comes with 518ppi pixel density compared to Apple's full Retina HD display 1920x1080 resolution and 401ppi, Forbes reported. The iPhone's screen size is rumored to be containing a smaller 5.5-inch screen.
Samsung Galaxy models come equipped with the latest Exynos 7420 octa-core processor armed with 4GB of RAM and will be run by Android 5.1 Lollipop. The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, has 1.4 GHz A8 chip and a mere 1 GB of RAM.
iPhone 6s and 6s plus may sport the latest A9 chipset that may be 20 percent faster, 15 percent smaller and 35 percent more power efficient than the current A8 chip. A 2GB worth of RAM is also expected.
Samsung's latest phablets may have the latest chip and the latest Android OS, but Apple's A9 processor will have the most gratifying iOS 9 of all smartphones, PC Mag shared.
For Samsung Note 5 and S6 Edge plus other features, they are said to sport a 16MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera, 32GB or 64 GB in terms of storage and 3000 mAh battery. Reportedly, Apple has DSL-R photo quality which may include 12MP camera and 4K video recording capability.
