"Criminal Minds" will return this fall with an addition of Aisha Tyler to the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) and Paget Brewster has a strong desire to feature in season 11.

With the departure of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tyler who is an actress in "Archer" and a co-host in "The Talk" will join "Criminal Minds" as Dr. Tara Lewis - a forensic psychologist who will bring on board a new aspect to the show, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"The people in BAU are analyzing these unknown subjects trying to catch them, but my character analyzes them after they've been caught to make sure they're competent to stand trial," Tyler said.

Many characters have left the show including one of the renowned members of BAU alumni, Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster). Brewster's enthusiasts have been crying out online for her comeback after leaving the show in season 11.

At the Television Critics Association press trip in Beverly Hills, Brewster eventually answered her fans. According to TV Line, Brewster cited scheduling problems with her current Fox comedy, "Grandfather," but had a strong desire to reappear on "Criminal Minds."

"I was hoping to jump in and do a couple of Criminal Minds episodes, because my friend A.J. Cook, who plays JJ, is finishing maternity leave," Brewster said.

However, this should not be a disappointment to fans because another star, Jane Lynch (Glee) who initially played Reid's schizophrenic mother Diana will be reprising her character in the next season of "Criminal Minds."

"Criminal Minds" season 11 will be aired on CBS with a new cast and some interesting crime storylines on Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. EST.
