With the much awaited “Criminal Minds” season 11 premiere just a month away, the showrunner as well as the cast has been busy teasing fans with what the show has in store.

It seems the premiere episode will have a disturbing scene as Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) will be handling a crucial take down.

“He gets to do a take down Reid style, which is just using his brain with a physical thing that’s really disturbing — you have to turn away,” executive producer Erica Messer told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s not a standoff with a gun, it’s a Reid version of a take down.”

The upcoming season will begin with the BAU interviewing candidates including a forensic psychologist, Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), to take the place of Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt), while hunting for a serial killer.

Rumor has it that Tyler’s character will be the love interest of Dr. Reid, as Messer has previously hinted at season 11 focusing on Dr. Reid’s romantic life. However, Dr. Lewis is said to bring a new dimension to the entire series, with a unique skill set in comparison to the other cast members.

Tyler teases about her character that she analyzes subjects after being caught to make sure they are competent to stand trails.

As for the plot, the team will be reportedly dealing with a sort of Silk Road/hitman-for-hire storyline.

In other news, the crew has no plans to bring Dylan Einstein (Candace Hammer), the forensic whiz, back to show. It seems like the return of Reid's mother (Jane Lynch) is also doubtful as Messer told TV Line that “We never seem able to get her!”

The all-new season in the “Criminal Minds” series is all set to air on Sept. 30.
