A first look of Michael Fassbender's character in Justin Kurzel's action adventure film "Assassin's Creed" has been unveiled.

With his photo released in Yahoo Movies, Fassbender will play a new character, Callum Lynch, in Kurzel's forthcoming film. In the photo, the "X-Men" actor is sporting a dark blue gray Assassin's outfit, along with a red sash.

It can also be seen in Fassbender's image that his forearms seem to be protected by metallic gauntlets as each of his hands holds a blade. He also has three throwing knives hidden over his shoulder, which are assumed to be his lethal weapons, along with his twin blades. Lynch also has a bomb pouch at his waist, along with a dagger on his hip. These are typical of Assassin character's in the video game.

Based from Ubisoft's famous video game, "Assassin's Creed" follows Desmon Miles' capture by a company called "Abstergo Industries" in pursuit of the search his familial lineage. As he lives through his ancestry's origins, Miles uncovers an obscure secret. According to Screen Rant, "Assassin's Creed" stands as Ubisoft's first film, in collaboration with Regency Pictures.

Aside from Fassbender, the film stars Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth William, and Ariane Labed.

With "Macbeth" director Kurzel set to helm the film, Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, and Michael Lesslie are on board to pen the screenplay of the film. Arnon Milchan, Conor McCaughan, Frank Marshall, Jean de Rivieres, Patrick Crowley, and Jean-Julien Baronnet will co-produce the forth coming film.

Kurzel's "Assassin's Creed" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 21, 2016.
