The first part of "Teen Wolf" Season 5 ended with more questions created than answered. "Teen Wolf" Season 5B is expected to put a closure to the some storylines when the MTV series returns in January 2016.
Here are the 5 storylines expected to be explored in "Teen Wolf" Season 5B:
1. Hellhound Deputy Parrish.
Series creator and executive producer Jeff Davis teased in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) that "Teen Wolf" Season 5B will reveal Deputy Parrish's past, his role and the main reason why he came to Beacon Hills. Davis further added that Deputy Parrish (Ryan Kelley) is not necessarily a good guy and he is not a bad guy either because of his supernatural identity.
2. Scott vs. Theo.
In a TVLine interview, Davis described the conflict between Scott's pack and Theo's pack of resurrected chimeras as an "epic clash of the Titans" in "Teen Wolf" Season 5B. Davis further teased that Scott (Tyler Posey) and Theo (Cody Christian) will definitely go up against each other and the disagreement will be somewhat about the other threats in Beacon Hills.
3. Derek's return.
Meagan Tandy's return as Braeden in the mid-season finale has ignited speculations that Tyler Hoechlin could also return as Derek Hale. The "Teen Wolf" character was last seen in the finale episode of the fourth season titled "Smoke and Mirrors" where he evolved into a full wolf.
4. Malia vs. The Desert Wolf.
The "Teen Wolf" fans are looking forward to watch the episode where Malia (Shelley Hennig) finally meets her biological mother called the Desert Wolf (Marisol Nichols) with Braeden's help.
Davis teased in the TVLine interview that "Teen Wolf" Season 5, episode 14 will be a big episode focusing on Malia, the were-coyote character.
5. The Dread Doctors.
The Dread Doctors will continue to cause trouble in Beacon Hills after unveiling an image in the ending scene of the mid-season finale episode titled "Status Asthmaticus." Davis revealed in the THR interview that the image will lead to the Dread Doctors' supernatural creature creation and what that creature will deal with.
Davis added that Scott and Theo's pack will get caught up in the clash of the two supernatural titans. Davis further teased that one of the creatures in the image, the one that is surrounded by fire, is a "Teen Wolf" character that the fans already know.
The official "Teen Wolf" Facebook page revealed when the MTV series will return from the mid-season break. The details on the exact date of the show's return and airing schedule are still unknown but "Teen Wolf" Season 5B premieres January 2016.
