According to People, the CW Network made the announcement about Kesha's guest appearance in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 on Monday. Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman revealed last August about Britney Spears' guest appearance on the show as the rival of telenovela superstar Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil).

However, Kesha will not guest appear as herself in the CW's comedy-drama series but as new character Annabelle, a rocker who moves next door to Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez). According to People, the details about Kesha's character in the CW Network's released statement revealed that Annabelle is not exactly a "baby person."

Meanwhile, E!News reports that the fans will see Kesha in her first big TV gig as Jane's new neighbor Annabelle in the second episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. It looks like the shocking story twist in the finale episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 1, where Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan) kidnapped Jane's newborn baby boy at the hospital, will be resolved quickly in the second season of the CW TV series.

As for Britney Spears, the 33-year-old pop superstar will appear in "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 5. "Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different," Urman said in a TVLine report.

At the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Urman teased that the interaction between Rogelio de la Vega and Britney Spears will be a little bit in disagreement between what Rogelio thinks and what Britney thinks. "We'd written some stuff about what Rogelio had said about Britney, how he'd done a residency in Vegas," Urman teased.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will premiere on Monday night, Oct. 12, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
