Meanwhile, the English version of sixth installment in the novel series "A Song of Fire and Ice," "Winds of Winter," is rumored to get a release date early next year. It is also speculated that the pre-sale of the book will commence this holiday season, according to The Independent UK.

The author of the book, George R.R Martin is pushing back the release date of the book time and again stating various reasons. One of the reasons was that he was over-involved with the casting and script writing of the show "Game of Thrones." Hence, he was not able to give time to the book.

Another reason was the publicity events for the show and the previous books in the series. In order to complete the book, Martin refused the offers to direct the up coming season of the show, as he wanted to give his full focus to the completion of the book.

Meanwhile, Martin is on a spree of  giving out witty hints to the reader over Twitter. He recently tweeted about "The wannabe king being alive and well." This sparked a lot of rumors about who this king might be. The rumor mill suggests it is Stannis Baratheon.

Baratheon was last seen in the show at the mercy of Brienne of Tarth, who wanted to kill him, as a revenge for Renly's murder. However, his actual death was not shown in the show. As Martin is now suggesting that he might be alive, there could be a major plot twist coming, both in the show and the book.
