"Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds is "trying to connect" in his latest "Deadpool" photo by reading a young adult novel.

Reynolds recently tweeted a photo on his official Twitter account. The photo shows his character Deadpool reading Judy Blume's "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" while hanging out with Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who is played by Brianna Hildebrand. The photo is captioned "#tryingtoconnect" and it got more than 7,000 favorites and more than 3,000 re-tweets.

Blume's "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" is a young adult novel, which follows a sixth grade girl. Despite of her mother being a Christian and his father being a Jewish, Margaret grew up with no religious affiliation. Along with dealing with puberty, Margaret plans to search for a single religion. The story frequently sees Margaret praying and uttering the titular words, "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret."

While Reynolds' photo caption could be vague, it means that Deadpool is "trying to connect" with Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead, as per Den of Geek. Hildebrand's character is one of Emma Frost's students and she possesses telepathic and precognitive abilities. At this point, it is uncertain on how faithful her cinematic take as Negasonic Teenage Warhead will be in the pages of the comic book.

"Deadpool" features Wilson's origin story, as a former member of the Special Forces who became a subject in an experiment. The trial procedures gave him fast regenerative abilities, turning him into a mercenary. With his new identity as Deadpool, Wilson embarks a quest to find the person who almost killed him.

Miller's "Deadpool" joins Rupert Wyatt's "Gambit" as Marvel's bullet films in its Phase Three. Along with Reynolds and Hildebrand, the film also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein, and T.J. Miller, among others. Reynolds previously said that he wanted Hugh Jackman to cameo as Wolverine, but it is undefined if he would appear in the film, as per Coming Soon.

"Deadpool" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Feb. 12, 2016. Watch the red band trailer here:
