Simon Kinberg will like to make a sequel to the Josh Trank's film "Fantastic Four." During his appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival, the producer discussed the possibilities of the sequel and bringing back the cast.

He said to Collider, "I'm really focused on the next one ...We're figuring out what that movie would be." He added that "Fantastic Four" was a "great movie and he will like to see the cast return.

The 42-year-old also shared his disappointment for the box office debacle of the film.

"I was most disappointed that fans didn't like it. I care more about them than I do anyone else. But I haven't done a full deep dive on it," he said.

"Fantastic Four" was met with negative reviews and earned $26.2 million in North America on its opening weekend. The star cast of the film included Miles Teller, Michael B.Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell. It featured Toby Kebbell in the role of main villain as Victor Von Doom.

The storyline of film revolved around four friends played by Mara, Teller, Jordan and Bell. They were shown getting teleported to an alternate universe and gaining superhuman abilities.

It has yet to be revealed how the storyline will progress in "Fantastic Four 2." It is also not known whether Trank will return to helm the film or will Fox scout for a new director.

Meanwhile, Mara who played Sue Strom in the film was also present at the TIFF to represent her film "The Martian." She said that she would love to play the character Storm once again. According to IGN, the actress has reportedly not watched "Fantastic Four." "Fantastic Four 2" is scheduled to be released on July 9, 2017.
