The company posted a message on its official website saying, "We know that all of our fans are looking forward to the Special Demo Version we are preparing, and we just ask that you be a little more patient. The team is working on it, but some issues popped up regarding the distribution method so there is a good chance it will not be ready to launch by the 15th."

The company promises to provide more information about the delay. Additionally, Comcept also issued an apology regarding the string of delay that has bugged the development and release of "Mighty No. 9." The statement was posted on the game's official Kickstarter page.

Apparently, the delay stems from deciding whether to remove copyright protection from the demo since Kickstarter backers of the game previously demand to remove the time limit. Some speculation points to the game's distribution issue with Steam.

"Mighty No. 9" is considered as a spiritual successor of the "Mega Man" series. The game closely resembles "Mega Man" character design and gameplay. Additionally, "Mega Man" illustrator Keiji Inafune is also working on the "Mighty No. 9" project.

"Mighty No. 9" is poised to be released in several platforms including Windows PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
