Both the Korean tech giant Samsung and the Cupertino-based Apple Inc. have been boasting about the superiority of their latest flagships - Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 6s, respectively.

While both companies regard their devices as the most advanced smartphones on the market, it is upon the users and their preferences to make their judgment. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 6s will compete against each other on Sept. 25, Friday, when Apple releases its latest flagships.

The two gadgets sport top-notch specifications on the market today. According to iDigital Times, the iPhone 6s is shipped with Apple's latest haptic feedback-based 3D touch feature. The smartphone also has major camera upgrades including a 12MP iSight rear camera with HD and 4K video, and a 5MP front HD shooter with Retina Flash.

On the other hand, the premium revamp of Samsung's iterations continue with the Galaxy Note 5. The device is shipped with Samsung Play mobile payment system and a new push-to-eject mechanism for the renowned S-Pen feature.

Apple claims that preorders for the iPhone 6s will beat the smartphone's precursor, but that remains to be seen. However, Samsung recently unveiled its financial outlook that indicates the company will continue to experience a decrease in sales, which has carried over since its terrible 2014 financial performance, Korea Times reported.

However, a critical question when it comes to comparing the two devices is whether Samsung's Exynos 7420 chip will still be superior to Apple's latest dual-core A9 processor. While Apple claims its chip runs a 70 percent faster CPU and 90 percent faster GPU as compared to its previous A8 chip, Samsung says its Exynos 7420 is 30 to 35 percent more powerful than all other standard processors on the market.

Furthermore, Samsung boast of its chip being optimized to elongate the Galaxy Note 5 battery life. Competition between the two companies seems stiff but it is upon the users to decide on which device is better than the other based on preferences.
