"Thor" actor Tom Hiddleston has expressed his uncertainty on the future of his character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

Hiddleston has played Loki in "Thor," "The Avengers," and "Thor: The Dark World." In his interview with MTV to promote Guillermo del Toro's upcoming horror film "Crimson Peak," Hiddleston said that he did not know if fans still wanted to see him again or not. He also mentioned that if he appeared in future Marvel films, he would not repeat himself and would try to do something different.

According to Cinema Blend, people love Loki, with Hiddleston having developed the character into Marvel's most striking villain. Unlike other villains in other Marvel films, Loki is one of those with long lives, as he showed in "Thor: The Dark World." However, his reign as the most notable antagonist may be taken over by Thanos in Marvel's upcoming films, particularly the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War."

Aside from Joss Whedon's "The Avengers," Kenneth Branagh's "Thor," and Alan Taylor's "Thor: The Dark World," Hiddleston is also known for his roles in Jim Jarmusch's romantic horror film "Only Lovers Left Alive and James Bobin's "Muppets Most Wanted."

Hiddleston is also set to appear in Marc Abraham's musical biopic "I Saw the Light," Ben Wheatley's action drama film "High-Rise," Jordan Vogt-Roberts' action adventure "Kong: Skull Island," del Toro's "Crimson Peak," and Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok."

Vogt-Roberts' "Kong: Skull Island" is set to premiere on Mar. 10, 2017 while del Toro's "Crimson Peak" hits theaters on Oct. 16. Meanwhile, Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017.
