The upcoming months may be the best way for fans to get their hands on an Xbox One. Just recently, Microsoft has teased a couple of new Xbox One console bundles, slated to be unveiled on Sept. 28.

These bundles were teased via the official Xbox website, DualShockers reported. There are still no details on which games may be offered with them or at what price they will be offered. Considering some of the upcoming games for the holidays, it won't be surprising to see games like "Rise of the Tomb Raider," which is an Xbox One timed exclusive title as well as hyped and anticipated titles like "Fallout 4."

On top of games, the Xbox One will also be getting new features, as Microsoft has been aggressively expanding its next-gen console's capabilities. This is evidenced by the upcoming November System Update, which will bring backward compatibility for some Xbox 360 games. However, in the realm of virtual reality support, its expansion to the likes of the Oculus Rift may still be a plan at best.

Following the announcement that Oculus Rift will be compatible with the Xbox One via streaming, as well as the recently showcased "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the Oculus Rift, the future of the project seems sealed. According to Microsoft, however, it may not come anytime soon, Polygon reported.

"No one is really thinking right now about bringing the Rift to a console, especially when the spec is so different from what we're targeting right now," said Vice President of Product at Oculus to the publication.

This does not mean that the Xbox One is incapable of offering a VR experience. Mitchell himself has attested that the Xbox One has the right hardware that can bring VR experience and more. However, as far as priorities of the Oculus Rift company is concerned, this is not yet the short-term goal that it is trying to achieve.

Microsoft does have its own VR headset in the works, dubbed as the HoloLens. This technology has previously showcased the likes of "Minecraft" for a virtual reality experience as well as an added entertainment aspect of the console, but details of its use and distribution are still sparse.
