Porsche has responded to the late actor Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker's recently filed lawsuit by claiming that the actor had died due to "reckless driving and excessive speed," rather than due to lack of safety features in the car.

The 16-year-old filed the wrongful death lawsuit on Sept. 28, Monday, seeking unspecified damages, under which she is suing Porsche for defects in the car that allegedly contributed to her father's death.

Calvin Kim, the spokesperson of Porsche Cars North America, however, cited authorities' reports on the matter to point out reckless driving as the major cause of the late actor's death.

"As we have said before, we are saddened whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly established that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed," People quoted Kim's statement.

The lawsuit filed by Meadows also claimed that the vehicle in which the late actor died lacked several safety features that are found in racing cars that could have prevented the accident or at least allowed the actor to survive the crash.

Meadows has also claimed that the late actor's vehicle, Porsche Carrera GT, was not installed with an electronic stability control system which is designed to protect swerving action common in such vehicle, though, Porsche's other models have such systems.

The lawsuit further claimed that the fire which killed the "Fast and Furious" actor was caused by the faulty rubber fuel lines of the vehicle.

Paul, who shot to fame as Brian O'Connor in "Fast and Furious" movies, was killed in the tragic car accident in Southern California on Nov. 30, 2013. The car was allegedly going at 80 and 93 mph at the time in stark contrast to official speed limit of 45 mph in the area, CNN reported.
