While Masashi Kishimoto's anime movie "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" gained much popularity in Japan just a week after its release, the manga film was delayed to be released in the United States. However, fans in the US finally have something to smile about since the movie will be released in selected theaters in the US tomorrow, Oct. 10.
Previously, the movie was supposed to be launched on Oct. 7, but it was postponed for a couple of days in favor of the weekend.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" is a manga anime movie that was initially released in Japan, and it is most probably being unveiled in the US because of its huge success in the home country.
According to Anime News Network, the "Boruto" movie beat the gross record of the previous "Naruto" film, "The Last: Naruto the Movie." While the latter grossed a total of $16 million for the entire period it was run in theater, the "Boruto" movie earned a total of $2.17 million on its first night alone after the release.
Reportedly, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be released in selected U.S. states including Illinois, California, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Florida. There are still tickets available for the movie.
The latest manga film will focus on Naruto, the Seventh Hokage, and his family relationships particularly with his youngest son, Boruto. Although Naruto is doing well as a Hokage, he has failed in his duty as a father.
There is a great rift between Naruto and his son to the extent that Boruto despises his father. Boruto works hard and independently to surpass his father as a ninja and respected hero. In his quest to beat his father, he lands in the hands of Sasuke who trains him.
After watching Boruto's adventures in the anime movie, fans can look forward to the live-action movie that is in development. Lionsgate is currently developing a live-action movie based on Kishimoto's popular manga turned hit anime, according to Screen Rant.
