"The Truman Show" producer Scott Rudin is set to work on a "Justice League Dark" film project.

Rudin is now leading the production of the film, along with Guillermo del Toro as one of the film producers, according to Cinema Blend. At this point, Rudin is in search for directors and screenwriters and considers starting the production in 2016. However, that production could be moved to a latter date since del Toro has recently revealed that he was going to work on his forthcoming sci-fi film "Pacific Rim: Maelstorm."

In his interview with The Daily Beast in August, del Toro said that while Warner Bros. had liked the script and had been very interested to greenlight the film, the studio had wanted it to overlap with "Pacific Rim 2." Put in a challenging choice, del Toro said that he had opted "Pacific Rim: Maelstorm."

According to Cinema Blend, "Justice League Dark" is set to be a cinematic adaptation of the DC Comics of the same name. It centers on the adventures of the characters like John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, and Etrigan the Demon, among others. The project is set to touch an element of fantasy and magic over sci-fi superhero.

Since the project is in its early phase of development, exact details on the plot, characters, cast, and release date are yet to be revealed.

Aside from "Justice League Dark," Rudis is also set to produce "The Book of Mormon," "Sinatra," "Brooklyn Castle," "Console Wars," "Zoolander 2," and "The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter."

Meanwhile, fans are set to see the rise of the Justice League in Zack Snyder's upcoming DC Comics film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The film stars Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.

Meanwhile, Rudin's "Justice League Dark" is slated to premiere in 2017. Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to be aired in two separate teasers on Oct. 26 while the film is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 25, 2016.
