For the actress, "misinformation" is one of the things that need to be addressed to resolve the gender gap issue.

According to Indiewire, Chastain had reportedly pocketed $7 milion for Scott's "Tha Martian" while he co-star Matt Damon was paid $25 milion. However, the actress got a reported paycheck of les than $1.75 milion, which was incredibly low when compared to Damon's projected salary range of $15 to $25 milion.

The incident prompts the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) team to make a move to save Watney.
