It is expected that Android Marshmallow update for Moto X Pure Edition or Moto X Style may release in November.

The Android update season is going on in full bloom. The latest to enter this list is Motorola Moto X Pure Edition also known as Moto X Style. Motorola's latest flag ship model is all set to receive the Android Marshmallow update pretty soon. The company is reportedly planning to run soak tests for this device, before releasing the upgrade via the over the air option.

Earlier, there were reports that Motorola had already started the soak tests. Motorola official David Schuster posted a Google+ update to put all the rumors to rest. He said in the update that, "There have been a couple reports of a Marshmallow "soak test" that has started for Moto X 2015 Pure Edition. Just want to make it clear that we have NOT started a formal "soak test". We have started a small TestDrive for the Marshmallow upgrade on Moto X 2015 Pure Edition."

It is most likely that the soak tests will get completed within the month of November this year. This might imply that Moto X Pure Edition will get Android Marshmallow before the end of this year. This will also make this device one of the first non-Nexus devices to receive this update within this year. LG G4 topped this list when the update was rolled out for this earlier this month.

It is known that 5.7-inch Moto X Style was released as a carrier free and unlocked device, making it easier to update, according to GSM Arena. It also means that the developers can carry out the process of smoke testing easily and quickly on this device.

Android Marshmallow will mainly update the material design of the device. It will also incorporate additional animations in various parts of the menu. The home screen drop down menu will also sport many additional options, according to BGR. There will be a new option of putting the device on the Do Not Disturb mode.

This will allow users to select from an option of either putting the device into total silence, or putting it on a priority mode. In addition to this, there will also be the support for 4G LTE connectivity, USB Type C connection, Bluetooth 4.2, Finger Print Scanner, and Android Pay.
