The international trailer for J.J. Abrams' forthcoming space sci-fi film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" has been released.

The trailer featured Rey, Finn, and the adorable BB-8, along with the stormtroopers' leader Captain Phasma and the evil Kylo Ren. It also teased Chewbacca, C-3PO, and Han Solo. Just like previous trailers, the international; trailer also showcased the molten helmet of the iconic Darth Vader and the red lightsaber. Succeeding sequences were action-packed, such as Rey and Finn running, some combat explosions.

The abovementioned trailer came from Walt Disney Studios Japan, according to Comic Book. The publication also mentioned that while the newly released international trailer had shared common elements with the one released in the United States, it added in new footage, locking in the principal conflict in the upcoming film.

Following the release of the international trailer, the hype goes on for Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," which is assumed as the film of the year, according to Comic Book Resources.

"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set 30 years after the events in the "Return of Jedi." It stars an ensemble of both old and new heroes and villains played by Oscar Isaac, Mark Hamill, Max von Sydow, Simon Pegg, Gwendoline Christie, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, among others.

Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18 while Gareth Edwards's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" premieres on Dec. 16, 2016. Meanwhile, Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is slated to premiere in theaters on May 26, 2017 while Colin Trevorrow's "Star Wars: Episode IX" premieres in 2019.
