With rumors saying that "Riddick" actress Katie Sackhoff is joining Marvel's Cinematic Universe, the actress has revealed the character she was interested to play.

In her interview with Playboy, Sackhoff mentioned that she would like to reprise her role as Black Cat in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. The actress said that she would have done the role 100 percent, as she loved playing characters who were multilayered and multidimensional and had a darkness tinge to them. For Sackhoff, these qualities made them more realistic and more fun to play.

Sackhoff also mentioned in her interview that she had had prior meetings with Marvel Studios. According to Cinema Blend, the absence of clarity with regard to those meetings had led people to expect that she might have been cast as Carol Danvers in the studio's forthcoming film "Captain Marvel." The actress had got the blonde hair, athletic built, and actions skills, as per the publication.

With the alter ego Felicia Hardy, Black Cat stands as one of Spider-Man's renowned nemeses. She is recognized as a skilled burglar, in addition to being a link to bad luck to people around her. In addition, Black Cat has been one of the love interests of Spider-Man; however, this might not transpire in Jon Watts' upcoming solo "Spider-Man" film, as the canon is set to feature a high school Peter Parker.

Aside from David Twohy's sci-fi thriller "Riddick," Sackhoff is also known for her roles in Mike Flanagan's horror film "Oculus," Glen Larson and Ronald Moore's action drama "Battlestar Galactica," and Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny's action crime series "Longmire."

Sackhoff is set to be part of Dorie Barton's "Girl Flu," Caradog James' horror film "Don't Knock Twice," and an untitled Adi Shankar project.

Meanwhile, prior to his appearance in Jon Watts' solo "Spider-Man" reboot, Holland will debut Spider-Man in Marvel's Cinematic Universe the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War," which centers on the release of the Accords. It is released by the government to limit superheroes from using their powers.

Spider-Man's side in "Captain America: Civil War" has not yet been revealed at this point, while previous rumors said that he would team up with Iron Man's team, which reportedly includes Black Widow, War Machine, The Vision, and Black Panther. They are set to clash against Captain America's team, which includes Hawkeye, Falcon, Agent 13, and Ant-Man.

The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.  Meanwhile, Marvel's "Captain Marvel" premieres on Mar. 8, 2019.
