Jeremy Lin has found a new home with the Charlotte Hornets, where he could have some basketball "consistency" in terms of location and team.
The Hornets may be ready to embrace its own version of "Linsanity," with Lin finding the right spots in his role in Charlotte.
"I feel like I have figured who I'm going to be as a player," Lin told CBS Sports. "[The game] has definitely slowed down for me and I feel like I know what my brand of basketball is."
Lin signed a two-year deal with the Hornets in this summer's free agency and has been already making an impact with Steve Clifford's rotation.
In his first six games with the Hornets, Lin has been effective despite getting limited minutes off the bench. His 11.7 points and 3.2 assists per contest on 22.2 minutes of play time has helped Charlotte despite their 2-4 slate.
Lin is also expected to get more playing time with the absence of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who underwent surgery after dislocating his shoulder and will miss the majority of the season.
Lin's numbers suggest the Harvard graduate is poised to have another remarkable season just like what he had in 2011-2012, when took over NBA and the Madison Square Garden after showing night after night of phenomenal performances.
Lin has been also linked to head to Chicago Bulls, according to several reports. But it would seem difficult to assume Steven Clifford and Jordan would let go of Lin, whom they have praised due to his efficient play on the court, according to The Morning News USA.
Lin, touted by Hornets owner Michael Jordan as one of the team's biggest acquisition during the off season, is certainly anticipated by the Hornets franchise to put out another type of Linsanity showing and that could happen anytime soon with Lin's newly found confidence.
"[Charlotte] wants me to go play my game," Lin said. "That's liberating in a lot of ways."
