The D820 version of the Nexus 5 is designed for North America and will connect to 2G, 3G or LTE on AT&T and T-Mobile. Thus, it is perfect for American users who are looking for cheaper smartphones, but with decent specs.

Google Nexus 5 boasts a 5-inch screen display, Snapdragon 800 system chip, 2GB of RAM and an 8.0MP camera with image stabilization.

The refurbished smartphone was regarded as a top of the line smartphones by the time of its release in 2013. Nexus 5 has a $400 price tag, but is at par with other smartphones that cost around $600.

For consumers who do not like refurbished items, Google released the Nexus 6P in September. The smartphone boasts a 5.7 inches screen display, Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM, Adreno 430, 12 MP back camera and 8 MP front-facing camera, and 3450 mAh battery, according to GSM Arena.
