"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder recently gushed over his wife Nikki Reed, and said that he's madly in love with her.
In a previous interview with US Weekly, the actor talked about his relationship with the "Sleepy Hollow" actress.
"My goal and Nikki's goal in life is literally - my goal in particular - is to build four profit entities that will literally feed our necessary non-profit initiatives till the end of time. We definitely share that passion together in a very huge way," the actor said.
However, fans of Somerhalder and his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev believe that the actor's former statements no longer hold true.
Meanwhile, it seems that a lot of Somerhalder's friends like the actor to end up with Dobrev.
This could be one of the reasons why most of them didn't attend his wedding early this year.
"It was truly the most magical day I've ever known... A lot of people didn't come because they thought, 'Ah, you know what? We'll see them again,'" he explained.
In other news, Dobrev previously spoke about Somerhalder and Reed's wedding, and said that she's very happy for the couple.
Thousands of fans speculated that Dobrev held a grudge against her ex-boyfriend for marrying another woman so quickly.
"They look happy and I am happy and I don't see why there should be a problem with that. We didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship. I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change," she told E! News.
