Khloe Kardashian recently gave fans her own health scare. She contracted staph infection while at the hospital where estranged husband Lamar Odom was confined.

Over a month after Odom's medical emergency prompted her to rush to his side and offer a support system, Kardashian's busy, stressful schedule had taken its toll on her health.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality star had to reschedule one of her book signing events to get a health check.  Kardashian tweeted and also wrote on her Facebook page that she got sick and underwent tests.

Kardashian also reminded her followers to take care of themselves since stress can jeopardize the body. The "Strong Looks Better Naked" author opted to take charge of her health and ease stress through a fitness program several years ago.

However, Kardashian's busy lifestyle and recent family-related circumstances have apparently affected her. She had a scary episode of high fever with intermittent chills, TMZ reported.

Sister Kourtney Kardashian eased the worries of fans and friends by letting them know that Khloe is fine after experiencing high-grade fever, fatigue and swollen glands, E! News reported.

Khloe's family has been urging her to do things for herself.  She was in the midst of several book signing events when her body sent signals for much-needed rest.

Khloe had to cancel a book tour when she learned about Odom's health crisis, and spent weeks monitoring his progress.

In other news, Khloe's new primetime TV show "Kocktails With Khloe" now has a January 2016 airing date. The lifestyle show will air on the FYI network.
