Nokia, recently acquired by Microsoft, continues to innovate and create new products. One of those is the Nokia Ozo virtual camera. The Nokia Ozo's price, specifications and release date will be announced at a special function in Los Angeles on Nov. 30.

A subsidiary of Nokia, Nokia Technologies is the phone-maker's licensiing wing and it has sent out invitations to for the "exclusive unveiling" of Nokia's first professional virtual reality camera.

While the Ozo was revealed in July, the announcement of its launch including price, specs and release date will take place on Nov. 30, according to Road to VR.

"We're thrilled to introduce OZO to the content creation world, and to define a completely new category of virtual reality capture and playback solutions," Nokia quoted Nokia Technologies president Ramzi Haidamus.

"OZO aims to advance the next wave of innovation in VR by putting powerful tools in the hands of professionals who will create amazing experiences for people around the world," Haidamus added. "We expect that virtual reality experiences will soon radically enhance the way people communicate and connect to stories, entertainment, world events and each other. With OZO, we plan to be at the heart of this new world."

The Nokia Ozo will be manufactured in Finland, and will be on sale during the last quarter of 2015. The virtual reality camera is made for profressional content creators.

The camera is highlighted for its 3D preview capability. The preview in real time enables film-makers to see through the lens using a VR 3D headset equipped with headtracking. Movie-makers can monitor separate "individual camera streams." The Nokia Ozo enables users to obtain faster framing and output in VR as it is on the set.
