"America's Next Top Model" creator Tyra Banks was one of the celebrities who took to social media to show their support for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alozo Wurtzbach, who represented the Philippines.

On Dec. 20, Sunday, Banks tweeted a photo of Wurtzbach with a caption, "Dang, girl. You betta #SMIZE, @PiaWurtzbach for the win, girl! #MissUniverse2015 #MissPhilippines #Pinoy."

It appears that Banks has a soft spot in her heart for Filipinos. A year ago, Banks wished Georgina Wilson good luck.

Wilson is the Filipino model who hosted "Asia's Next Top Model" season 3. Aside from this, Filipino designer Francis Libiran was also featured several times in "ANTM," in which Filipino actress Anne Curtis was once featured, as well.

Wurtzbach's win was considered the most controversial crowning moment of a beauty queen in the history of Miss Universe, if not of all international beauty pageants. Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey initially announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner but retracted it minutes later claiming he misread the cue cards.

"I wasn't sure what was going on," Wurtzbach told Entertainment Tonight. "I didn't expect that to happen at all."

Wurtzbach revealed that he had to ask his manager many times if he really won as Miss Universe 2015. She said she was also worried they were going to take the crown from her, as well.

In another interview with E! News, Miss Universe 2015 said, "I was looking for cues from the floor director still to bring in to the front of the stage. No one really knew who was going to take the crown from Columbia to me, so even they were a little bit confused."
