It has been a week since Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach won the diamond crown during the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night in Las Vegas, Nevada. The beauty queen from the Philippines is currently in New York, where she recently celebrated Christmas.
On Dec. 25, Friday, Wurtzbach was spotted cruising along Columbus Circle, which is located at the the intersection of Eighth Avenue, Broadway, Central Park South and Central Park West, at the southwest corner of Central Park. The traffic circle is also a heavily trafficked intersection in the New York City borough of Manhattan.
Not wearing her diamond Miss Universe 2015 crown, Wurtzbach strolled undercover while cruising along Columbus Circle, according to TMZ.
Also on Christmas Day, Wurtzbach took to Instagram to send a message to Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez. She posted a photo of herself in New York City and in the lengthy caption, she wrote, "To Ariadna, you are an amazing woman and we are now bonded together forever by a unique experience."
"In the last 3 weeks we were together, I saw how strong and beautiful you are inside and out," Wurtzbach also wrote. "You represented your country with honor and I know how proud everyone must be of you. Fate has a plan for you, and I'm excited to see what's ahead."
Many international beauty pageant fans noticed that Gutierrez looks like "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara, whose embryo war with her ex Nick Loeb recently took a twist. A Chicago-based non-profit law firm is seeking to defend the embryos Vergara and Loeb froze when they were in a relationship, Page Six reported.
