New details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature tips on catching the legendary Noble Arapaima and more DLC updates coming soon.
Game director Hajime Tabata announced new DLC update for "Final Fantasy XV" within 2017 as a way for him to give gaming fans exciting ventures for Noctis and his friends soon. Tabata posted on the official Square Enix blog website, thanking the fans for their support of the sequel despite its long tenure in game development.
The post revealed a list of achievements for "Final Fantasy XV", which among them are the release of the CG movie "Kingsglaive", and the many efforts to translate the game for a wider audience;all of which took significant amounts of work. Tabata stated that 2017 is the year of "giving back" the fans kindness to them by providing more enjoyable experiences and by continuing to release updates and DLC.
Given that this has always been Square Enix's intent for "Final Fantasy XV", it is not quite clear what Tabata intends to give to players that is not already planned and/or expected. It could be something along the lines of the recent “Holiday Pack” DLC that gave out free updates and features to players in light of the Christmas season.
Previous reports hinted that four charaters in "Final Fantasy XV" will be included in the party as regular members and these are Lunafreya Nox Flueret, Iris Amicita, Aranea Highwind and Cor Leonis. Not to mention that Gilgamesh will serve as antagonist for Gladiolus during his own DLC episode.
Meanwhile, new tips on how to catch the legendary Noble Arapamia during the "Liege of the Lake" side quest in "Final Fantasy XV".
In order to activate the quest, players must camp out at the Captis Haven located in the East Bank of Vesperpool. The next day after setting camp in the specified site will then trigger a special cutscene with Gladio and Noctis, wherein the former suggests to go fishing, telling Noc about the "Liege of the Lake" and how impressive it would be when caught, much to Noctis' glee.
To catch the Noble Arapamia, it is recommended that it should be handled with caution as the fish has 1,100,000 stamina points. To prepare for the challenge, use the rod that has at least a defense level of 200 points. Using the Death Spin rod is recommended, which packs 210 defense and can be bought at Bert’s Bobbers ‘n’ Stuff at the Cleigne Region. Use the Tranquility Rod that has 290 defense if Noctis already has it, which can only be obtained after completing Navyth’s final fishing challenge, the “Angler’s Nightmare”.
Gear the rod with the Nereid reel that has an attack power of 270 points but if the LLymlaen reel is already in Noctis’s possession, then better use it as it has 330 attack power. Players can use any lure for the Noble Arapamia, however, players can use the 10,000 Needles Gold Cactuar bait, which can be bought at the Coernix Station in Cauthess or the Stinker: Great Malboro, which can also be bought at Bert’s.
Completing the side quest will trigger another cutscene with Gladio and Noctis, and of course strengthening the bond between the two characters.
Noctis will gain 20 ability points and the rare Arapaima Scales. Noctis will then acquire the rare Big Blaze Bahamat lure, which is a special bait that can be used countlessly even when the line snaps, iTech Post reported.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
