T-Mobile's CEO says that the latest "Un-carrier 9.0" plans for small businesses are over 40 percent cheaper than similar plans from AT&T and Verizon. The company is also offering a free .com domain and website, and a custom .com email address with its plans.
T-Mobile says its new plans are entirely about making simplicity the new norm. The new plans are going to be especially suitable for smaller businesses, the company believes.
The Geek Wire informs that the business plan charges are $16 per line for lines having 10 to 19 accounts, $15 per line for 20 to 1,000 lines, and $10 per line for 1,000 or more accounts. It offers unlimited talk, text, and 1 GB of 4G LTE data.
An additional 2GB of data may be added for $10 per line, and an extra $30 per line charge will offer unlimited data. The companies can also go for a pooled data plan without overage penalties.
Additionally, the "Business Family Discount" program offers the choice to consider the business line as the first line on a family plan for customers.
"For a family with just two lines, you're going to save $876 with us versus AT&T and Verizon over two years," T-Mobile CEO John Legere said.
Chron informs that the Bellevue-based company had introduced the option of paying the entire price for the phones in installments and removed a long-time practice of attaching customers to two-year contracts two years back. It was an avant-garde approach.
The programs have been immensely popular and have helped T-Mobile US Inc., get 4 million plus new phone customers in the "postpaid" plans' category last year.
T-Mobile is fiercely fighting its competitors in every angle possible. The CEO informed that AT&T and Verizon customers can save a whopping total of $8.8 billion a year by transferring their business plans to Un-carrier.
"That's what I call a discount," The CEO said.
