The cast of "Fifty Shades Darker" is slowly being filled. Just recently, there have been reports that supermodel Cara Delevingne will be playing the role of Christian Grey's former submissive Leila Williams. Additionally, there have been reports that Charlize Theron will be playing Mrs. Robinson.
During the past couple of weeks, Delevingne and Theron's names were mentioned by various publications only as rumors. However, now, their participation in the upcoming second installment to the "Fifty Shades" franchise has already been confirmed, according to Venture Capital Post.
Other than Leila Williams and Mrs. Robinson's characters, there has also been confirmation that "Man of Steele" actor Henry Cavill will be playing the role of Jack Hyde or Anastasia Steele's (Dakota Johnson) new boss.
Jack and Christian (Jamie Dornan) go a very long way since the two were under the same foster system when they were still kids. Jack's jealousy of Christian heightened when the latter was sent to his new home first before him.
Meanwhile, ahead of the film's release, there have also been reports that "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson will no longer return to direct E.L. James' novel for the big screen.
As of late, there have been no reports yet as to who will direct "Fifty Shades Darker," but just last month, there have been reports that James' husband, Niall Leonard, will be joining the team, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated for release in February 2017. The third installment to the franchise, "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released in February 2018.
