"Agent Carter" season 2 is set to premiere in January 2016 featuring Agent Peggy Carter's (Hayley Atwell) faceoff against the Secret Empire, a splinter group of Hydra who intruded the American government and tried to disrepute Captain America.
The new setting of "Agent Carter" season 2 will be in Los Angeles and it is yet to be revealed how the Secret Empire will tie into it. On the other hand, producers of the series suggested that it could have something to do with the Darkforce dimension, Comic Book has learned.
A fictional concept in the Marvel Comics Universe, the Darkforce dimension can be manipulated in several ways by a handful of beings accustomed to it. Several superheroes and villains derive their powers from this mysterious energy force.
Meanwhile, during a recent Comic-Con panel, Atwell, "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot and "American Horror Story" actress Kathy Bates, were asked to correct lines they thought their characters would not say.
"It often involves me just going, 'I don't think she would be naked in this scene,'" E! News quoted Atwell as saying, as she explained that her problem is not really focused on lines. "There's no need for that. I'm not doing it just to fulfill your weird little fantasy."
Also joining Atwell in "Agent Carter" season 2 are Enver Gjokaj as Daniel Sousa, James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Chad Michael Murray as Jack Thompson and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, among others.
Prior to "Agent Carter" season 2, Atwell played Peggy Carter in the films "Ant-Man," "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" and in the TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
