"Arrow" season 4 episode 1 "Green Arrow" is set to air on The CW on Oct. 7, and "Legends of Tomorrow" star Caity Lotz is reportedly reprising her role as Sara Lance in the upcoming season.
Based on the DC Comics superheroine Black Canary and was presumed to have drowned with the sinking Queen's Gambit, Sara Lance resurfaced in "Arrow" season 2 as another vigilante connected to the League of Assassins.
"Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly that on The CW series he developed with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, they have some business to handle.
According Guggenheim, Palmer Technologies CEO Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) did not explode in a cataclysmic explosion and Sara Lance "needs to not be dead." However, the executive producer did not specify if the new Ra's al Ghul, also known as Malcolm Merlyn, could be the one to resurrect Sara Lance.
"It's going to be handled head-on," Guggenheim said. "We're doing a really great episode that really tackles the question of Sara, death and resurrection. On 'Arrow,' nothing is easy, so it's not as simple as dumping her in the water."
In another interview with E! News, Guggenheim said the White Canary will be launched in the first episodes of "Arrow" season 4. He said there will be "a big episode" featuring characters from "Legends of Tomorrow."
Routh and Lotz are also set to play Ray Palmer and Sara Lance, respectively, in the 2016 TV series "Legends of Tomorrow" along with Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, among others.
