The holidays are teeming with new games, and PlayStation Plus members are about to get some more titles to play throughout the holidays. Sony has finally announced the complete lineup of free titles for the PlayStation Plus December promotion.
Spearheading the games on the PS4 is "Gauntlet: Slayer Edition" from developer Arrowhead Game Studios. An RPG that boasts monsters and enemies, as well as an adventure through catacombs to get gold and guns, it's an exploration and action rolled into one.
"King's Quest" series chapter one is also now free for PlayStation Plus members. The first chapter is called A Knight to Remember, and it will put players through King Graham's memories of his adventures towards knighthood, PlayStation Blog reported.
PS3 and PS Vita players need not fret as there are also a couple of games coming to the older PlayStation consoles. PS3 will be getting "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" and "SSX." For the PS Vita, players can pick up "Freedom Wars" and "Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken" for free.
The PS4 has seen quite a good run in terms of sales, so much so that Sony has even dubbed its PS4 to have experienced potentially the strongest sales and fastest movement in the history of its PlayStation console, CNet reported. Since its launch, two years ago, the PS4 has sold over 30.2 million units all over the world.
One notable boost in sales comes after March of this year, wherein the recorded number of units moved was only at 20.2 million. According to the report, Sony is looking at gaining more traction in sales, as the company plans to sell 17.5 million units come March 2016.
Considering the new discounted PS4 bundles currently on sale for the holidays, this does not seem to be a farfetched idea. Add to this the timing of the anticipated PS4 exclusive "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" on March 18, 2016, as well as other titles such as "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition," "Gravity Rush Remastered" and "Street Fighter V."
