According to the official synopsis for "Teen Wolf" Season 5 episode 16, Scott (Tyler Posey), Theo (Cody Christian) and his Chimera pack will stop at nothing to rescue Lydia from the Eichen house.

"Teen Wolf" showrunners held that two episodes in Season 5 will be dedicated to Scott and his pack saving Lydia. It's definitely interesting to see the rest of the cast together once again, although the circumstances were less than ideal.

While there is no guarantee that they will be able to save Lydia, Carter Matt speculated that they will succeed in bringing her back. Although some were worried that Lydia will end up dying in the coming episodes, the author pointed out that there had been too many deaths in the series. It goes without saying, however, before they get to Lydia, Dr. Valack will continue to torment her in the Eichen house.

In the new promo video for "Teen Wolf" Season 5 episode 16, Dr. Valand kept telling Lydia to focus on this eerie sound, seemingly trying to hypnotize her. The outlet wondered if he was "trying to transform her into a killing machine, a Dread Doctor, or a shell of her former self?"

Fans of the MTV series, however, can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Lydia will not die just yet. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis said that Lydia will be playing a big role in Season 5, adding that she may just be the key to save everyone from The Beast.

Holland Roden, who plays Lydia in the MTV series, held that her character is definitely up for the challenge, adding that she had what it takes to lead the pack back to safety.

"She has the supernatural power and she's also not too much in the midst of the pack - she has a bit of a birds-eye view, not only because of her banshee power but because she hasn't been around for a while," she explained.
