An alleged image of the iPhone 7 Plus has leaked online revealing some of Apple's new hardware modifications like the presence of a smart connector, a missing headphone jack, missing antenna lines from the back, and a new dual camera lens set up.

The image leak follows a great deal of gossip which has continued to surround both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus ahead of their anticipated release. For instance, much has been heard in the past that Apple may do away with the protruding camera lens at the back of its iPhones and apparently, the leaked image has proved the claim wrong.

Nevertheless, the most important thing to note for iPhone 7 Plus fans is that the device will include a Smart Connector. It will be similar to the one that the iPad Pro utilized to hook up its accessories and so potential users can count on it for the same purposes. Even more to this, the Connector may pave a way for smarter battery related accessories, WCCF Tech reported.

Another thing to note is that Apple will be doing away with the headphone jack. According to reports, this is to get rid of the "bulkiness," to make the new model thinner, and to give it a slicker profile. The traditional Jack will then get replaced by a new jack technology called the D jack which will have a small diameter of 2mm.

iPhone 7 will also feature dual cameras which will predictably reduce the noise in imaging and enable efficient taking of indoor photos, low-light photos, and support for 3D mapping. According to Mac Rumors, Ming-Chi, a KGI Securities analyst, said that he supposes that both the single and dual versions of the cameras are currently in development and that a 2 to 3X zoom is likely for iPhone 7 Plus.

Other rumored specs include a new A10 processor, an M10 motion co-processor, 2 to 3GB of RAM, wireless charging and a bigger 5.7-inch display with a high pixel density. Besides these, the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to run on iOS 10. This will get finally revealed at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) which will be held in June.

From the online chatter surrounding the iPhone 7 Plus, it is evident that fans are excited about the leaked specs. However, since the leaked photo's legitimacy is currently questioned, the information should be taken with a grain of salt until the phone is finally released in September.
