The whole nation of Jordan is deep mourning after the Islamic State released a video showing the captured Jordanian pilot being burned to death inside a locked cell. The Jordanian government has promised "punishment and revenge" against the ISIS militants.

The video released by ISIS displayed inhumane levels of barbarity that is even shocking despite the group's infamous notoriety. The murder of First Lieutenant Muadh al-Kasasbeh will no doubt intensify the tense relation between Jordan and the ISIS group. Jordan is a major member of the US-led coalition against the ISIS militia and the kingdom has also detained hundreds of jihadist supporters since the uprising began, according to the New York Times.

The Jordanian government responded to the ISIS actions by arranging an immediate execution of five convicted ISIS terrorists which includes a failed suicide bomber that the ISIS has been negotiating for a trade, according to The Guardian.

Hours after the terrifying video came to light Jordan's King Abdullah II said in a short televised statement that the murder was an act of, "cowardly terror by a criminal group that has no relation to Islam. It's the duty of all citizens to stand together."

The murder video received worldwide condemnation from different leaders of states. United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron said the act was "sickening" and will help "strengthen our resolve" to annihilate the ISIS.

United States President Barack Obama said that, "Whatever ideology they're operating off of, it's bankrupt."
