The trailer explained that Apocalypse has been amassing mutants for their powers and has always have four followers at his side as Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) tries to reason with his friend, Magneto not to join him, but Erik replied to his friend that he has buried what he saw in him along with his family, showing a glimpse of their tragic death. As Apocalypse begins launching missiles across the world for annilation, Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Holt) gathers several inexperience mutant students; Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Kurt Wagner (Kodi Smith-McPhee) and Peter Maximoff (Evan Peters) to fight for them as a new team of X-Men.

Peter revealed to Mystique that Magneto is his father, fight scenes between Cyclops, Storm, Beast and Pyslocke are highlighted and a glimpse of Jean Grey's full power against Magneto. The trailer ends with Mystique finding both Jean and Scott escaping in a military facility, which Scott replied they had a "little help" as the scene cuts with soldiers preparing to fire guns against Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), popping his adamantium claw.

It has been reported that director Bryan Singer went to Montreal last year and did reshoots for the film, hinting that Jackman will be reprise his role as Logan/Wolverine. The military facility in the trailer could be the Weapon X program and it is headed by William Stryker (Josh Helman).

Aside from Wolverine and Weapon X, the trailer also revealed Jean's powers growing in an incredible rate, possibly hinting her transformation to the "Phoenix". Several rumors speculate that the next X-Men film after "Apocalypse" will be based on popular X-Men storyline "The Dark Phoenix" saga to which Jean succumbs to her powers and becomes "Dark Phoenix", Comic Book reported.

In other news, Apocalypse's final form has been teased online as Universo X-Men posted several photos of the "X-Men: Apocalypse" merchandise and one of them claimed that a statue of En Sabah Nur's final form is being put on display, ComicBookMovie reported.

Several fans speculated that the photo could be Apocalypse's possible final form and it matches his comic book counterpart. However, the official Universo X-Men Twitter page tweeted that final form is not true at all as they were informed by the creators of Ironhead Studios that statue is not real "final form" of the character.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be showing in cinemas on May 27.
