The launch date of the handheld versions of the game will be announced at a later date. Inafune and his team are still developing these, so the handheld console fans will have to wait for a while.

Inafune wrote on the game's official website that he has acknowledged that the long delays of the game have made a lot of fans disappointed with them and they have let down their fans. The game development team has asked for forgiveness, and they has promised that the game that they will be launching soon will be working fine.

The video game was a project where everyone's passions were combined to create the best one, Inafune said on the game's official website. He added that the team is looking forward to releasing the final product to the fans that have been waiting for so long.

In an interview with IGN, the creator shared with them the stress of developing the game, and with the many delays of the game, it added more stress to the team. This time around, he has assured the fans, and those who are interested in the game that there will be no more delays anymore for it.

In September 2013, the game was crowdfunded by more than 67,000 donors, and this resulted in $4 million to fund the game. It was originally planned to be launched only for the PC, but they added other platforms as stretch goals for the development team. The goals and the multiplayer features were blamed for the long delays for the game launch.
