Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2016) will receive the Android Marshmallow update soon. Samsung J3 (2016) has been updated to Android Marshmallow in the United States and South Korea.

Verizon released the Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy J3(2016.) Network carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Sprint are also going to roll out the update for the device in the coming weeks.

The other countries next in line to receive the Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy J3(2016) include Nigeria, India, Italy, China, France, Canada and North America. Apart from the above-mentioned countries the global rollout of Android Marshmallow for the device is expected to commence soon.

Samsung Galaxy A5(2016) and Galaxy A7(2016) are also in line to get the update very soon. The Wifi Alliance has already certified these devices, which implies that the firmware update is imminent, according to SamMobile.

The Android Marshmallow update is being released in phases. Users can also check their devices manually to see whether they are prompted to download the over-the-air update or not. To do so, they need to go to Settings> About Device> Software Update.

In case the device is about to receive the Android Marshmallow update, the user needs to connect it to a power source if the battery levels are less than 50 percent. The Android Marshmallow update needs to be downloaded over a stable and unmetered Wi-Fi network. Alternatively, the user can also download it over high-speed data network but high data charges may be incurred.

Samsung released the Android Marshmallow update for its high-end models like Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Sport, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note Edge. After that, the company is now releasing the update for mid-range devices such as the Galaxy J and Galaxy A series, which include Galaxy A8, Galaxy A7, A5, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy Alpha.

Android Marshmallow has customized app permissions, Doze and Standby feature, which conserve the battery life of the device. It also supports the fetures of fingerprint authentication and Android Pay, according to BGR.
