"Descendants of the Sun" lead stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo bagged the most awards in the recently concluded 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards. The grand awards ceremony was held on June 3 at the Kyung Hee Unversity Grand Peace Hall in Seoul and it was hosted by Miss A's Suzy and comedian Shin Dong Yup.
According to The Reporter Times, this is the first time in six years that the female host was changed. Originally, Kim Ah Joong was confirmed to be the female host of the ceremony but for some reasons, Suzy replaced her in the last minute.
This is also the first time that the ceremony only had two emcees. It can be noted that ever since the start of the Baeksang Awards, it has been a practice to install three hosts to preside over the event.
The Asia's favorite drama "Descendants of the Sun" was may have failed to clinch the Best Drama award but it ended up with the highest prize of the night when it won the Grand Prize in the TV category. "Signal" defeated "DOTS" and took home the Best Drama trophy.
