Apple is on the blueprints regarding its biggest and boldest project to build a massive $850 million solar powered plant farm soon to be built in California, which can generate energy enough electricity to power all of its operations in the city. All details were disclosed by Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Company, on Tuesday at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference, Apple Insider reported.

The 1300 acre of land is in Monterey, California; southern area of Apple's Cupertino headquarters.

"We are doing this because it's right to do, but you may also be interested to know that it's good financially to do it," Cook told investors at the conference.

"We expect to have a very significant savings, because we have a fixed price for the renewable energy, and there's quite a difference between that price and the price of brown energy,"

Cook also disclosed the company's plans to tap the enterprise market and work together with IBM. He added that Apple wanted to change its consumer's lives and wanted to change how people work. However, the iPhone company does not have the total ability to work on the project on its own, it needs a partner and that boils down to IBM, according to ZDNet.

"IBM has very deep knowledge of a number of verticals. Apple doesn't have that. IBM has enormous field resources. Apple doesn't have that," Cook added.

To add more, Apple has the gadgets and devices to launch in the enterprise market, but IBM does not have it. Both companies complement each other. The enterprise project-partnership is expected to roll as the year progresses.

The roll-out of the software apps from the Apple-IBM tandem will be on iPhone and iPad specifically targeted toward enterprise customers in banking, insurance, financial services, retail, and telecommunications for governments and airlines.
