Avid PS4 gamers looking forward to playing "Rise of the Tomb Raider" on their consoles will be happy with the latest news. An Italian website appears to have leaked the release date for the game's PlayStation version.
PS4 players may soon enjoy the same "Rise of the Tomb Raider" gameplay that many Xbox One users may have already experienced. The Italian GameStop website has unveiled an Oct. 11 release date for the PS4 version the game. The game leak was shared by NeoGAF user piccio_ssl, according to IGN. The said game listing includes an image of the game title's PS4 box image, as well as several in-game shots.
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamic's game has also been priced at €70.98 ($78.51) in the said Italian website. However, the game's product listing posted on Amazon indicated a price point of $60. The PS4 version of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" appears to be more expensive than its Xbox One counterpart currently priced at Amazon for $40.
The Amazon product listing for the game's PS4 version also showed a Dec. 30 release date. Although, speculations pointed to the December release date as a potential placeholder date for the game, as indicated in the same report.
Avid gamers may recall that Square Enix released the game that features the adventurer Lara Croft in November 2015 on Xbox One consoles. A PC version was later released in January. Previous reports also hinted of an upcoming PS4 version, although its release date has yet to be announced.
The said gaming title is also celebrating an important event in 2016. The "Tomb Raider" game has reached its 20-year milestone this year. Crystal Dynamics has even recently released some rare snapshots of the iconic role-playing and adventure game.
Meanwhile, the PS4 game release date leak appears to coincide with an initial statement made by Crystal Dynamics. The game developer indicated in the Square Enix forums in late June that the game will be released in the year's holiday period, PlayStationLifeStyle.net reported. However, the company did not confirm the game's exact release date.
Both Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have also yet to respond to the game's leaked October PS4 version release schedule.
