The United States government is keeping a list of over two dozen top ISIS operatives in Syria and Iraq that it hopes to target in airstrikes.  This list is a kill list since the United States military does not have a military ground troop on both Syria and Iraq to capture ISIS suspects.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the ISIS leader, is the main target of the US kill list. A US Official disclosed that al-Baghdadi is aware of the manhunt for him by the United States troops and is doing his best to be out of sight, Wesh reported.

It has been several months since the last intelligence report about al-Baghdadi's whereabouts.  He is also aware that war planes are hunting him so he moves around with caution despite that his influence has grown beyond Syria and Iraq.

The United States military troops have already killed a dozen ISIS groups which included an ISIS chemical weapon expert however others are included in the US list as intelligence is acquired about their role in ISIS.

Jihadi John, one of the ISIS executioners, are still in the US crosshairs, but the list is focused on targeting the officer that would hurt the ISIS group most, according to CNN.

The kill list will increase as the United States tries to comprehend the ISIS command chain which gets more confusing because of its rapid growth in Yemen, Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Libya.

"We have to take each terrorist or cult organization in every country as a separate entity. We can't look at it as one big group. You may miss the most important targets when you are doing that," said Mark Hertling, CNN military analyst.
