The list of cast members of Netflix's highly anticipated "Sense8" Season 2 has continued to grow with the recent addition of Sikandar Kher. Production of the original series is underway even as some cast members reveal their character's reprising roles in the mysterious world they live in.
Bollywood star Kher was recently confirmed to join the list of cast members in a still unknown role. In an interview with Gulf News, the 34-year-old actor said that he was approached for the series a few months ago.
"It's a small but an important role, and it takes the story ahead," Kher said. "The first season of the show was a massive hit, and I hope season 2 also gets the same appreciation by the audience as season 1 did."
Rumors are rife that Kher's role could be a villainous one similar to freshman run's main villain, Whispers (Terrence Mann). However, there is no official statement from Netflix about Kher playing as an antagonist.
On the other hand, Jamie Clayton who plays Nomi Marks talked with Chicago Sun Times, teasing that her role is somewhat based on the experiences of Lana Wachowski, one of the series' creators, director, and writer. During the freshman run, Marks was introduced as a transgender woman, something that is also shared by Wachowski.
Marks said that it was interesting for her since she has a big responsibility to play the great character and at the same time represent her community in a way that has never been seen before. The character as well said that she has a huge responsibility playing part of the creator, director, and writer, adding that the upcoming second installment can be expected to be more exciting and action-packed.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the storyline will sport more of Kala's (Tina Desai), a doctor from India, love triangle between Wolfgang (Max Riemelt) and her purported-to-be fiancé, Rajan (Purab Kohli). Kala cancelled their wedding to follow her heart, although Wolfgang did not believe that he is not good enough for her love.
