Former WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan is one of the best wrestlers of his generation and among the greatest ever. According to the latest rumors, Bryan may be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year during WrestleMania 33 weekend in Orlando, Florida.

The 34-year-old superstar retired from in-ring competition in February due to a lesion in his brain that causes seizures. He was planning to start a family with his wife, Brie Bella, so the decision to retire was an easy decision.

However, it was an emotional moment for Bryan since he loves the wrestling business and has been a wrestler for half of his life. He was not seen by the WWE universe for months until he was named the general manager of SmackDown Live two weeks ago.

Bryan is also a color commentator for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic alongside Maura Ranallo in the WWE Network. It also looks like that he can add being a WWE Hall of Famer into his resume as he is going to be inducted next year.

According to FanSided, Mick Foley and Bryan was being introduced by Tom Phillips for an interview when Mrs. Foley's baby boy called him a Hall of Famer. That was followed by an awkward moment that Foley tried to cover up.

It should be noted that it has not been confirmed but Bryan is a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame next year. Unlike other sports leagues, the WWE has no requirement or eligibility rules for its inductees.

However, WrestleMania 33 will be in Florida and there is one certain superstar that could headline next year's 2017 Hall of Fame class, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The Rock is a Florida-native and it is a big deal if he gets inducted in his home state.

Nevertheless, the WWE could decide that Rocky and Bryan should headline the 2017 Hall of Fame class to make one of the best ever. Even though Bryan has only worked for six years as a full-timer for the WWE, he has accomplished a lot.

According to his profile on WWE.com, Bryan four-time WWE World Heavyweight champion, one-time Intercontinental champion, one-time United States champion, one-time WWE Tag Team champion, a Money in the Bank winner, the 26th Triple Crown Champion and the 15th Grand Slam Champion in WWE history.
